We may not be the biggest city in terms of space but what we lack in square footage, we make up for in character. Shopping in Dubin is an experience that everyone can enjoy – from lovers of high-end luxury brands to indie and sustainable shoppers. There are several shopping districts, inside and outside of the city centre with something for everyone, such as the Kildare village that holds a range of designer brands such as Armani, Calvin Klein Michael Kors and more!
The best part, we are offering an exclusive VIP PASS which gives you a 10% discount to use in Kildare Village when you book our Winter Wonder Package. January is a particularly good time for shopping with the post-Christmas sales in full swing, so book a shopping trip in the Aspect Hotel Park West to enjoy the full experience.
Liffey Valley
One of the closest shopping areas to our hotel in Park West is Liffey Valley Shopping Centre. The shopping centre recently underwent major renovations and is now one of Ireland’s largest shopping and leisure destinations, with shops, restaurants, cinemas and ample car parking. You’ll find brands like Tommy Hilfiger, H&M, Zara, Lifestyle Sports and one of the largest Penneys in Ireland.
You could spend the day in Liffey Valley with everything from high-end dining to fast food and a large, modern cinema showing the blockbusters. Sales are notoriously good in the shops within the centre with all ages and demographics catered to. Less than 10 minutes from door to door, a shopping trip to Liffey Valey should be on any serious shoppers list.
Dundrum Town Centre
The ever-popular Dundrum Town Centre is a great spot for January sales with a huge 169 tenants! There are shops, outlets, department stores, restaurants, cafes and much more. Everything you could need you’ll find in Dundrum from fashion and homewares to accessories and family essentials.
There is an array of restaurants on site which include Jamies Italian, Zizzi, The Flying Duck and Dunne & Crescenzi. There is a state-of-the-art cinema on-site, ideal for families or couples looking to take a break from the bargains! Their Winter sales are happening now until 31st January but great value on a huge range of brands is always available. Dublin’s light rail line – Luas – will get you there in no time from the city or there is ample parking if you want to drive the 15 minutes.
Dublin City
Dublin City is a mecca for shoppers. We have dozens of household brands’ flagship stores in the city and it’s always expanding. Explore both sides of the city to search out the January sale bargains. On the North side, you’ll find high street brands like Penneys, Zara, Bershka, lots of sports shops, high street fashion, department store Arnotts and more. South side has a more high-end vibe with the formidable Brown Thomas Department Store with brands like Gucci and Louis Vuitton.
The White Company, M&S, & Other Stories and Victoria’s Secret have a presence on Grafton Street and there are a selection of boutiques and independent shops in Stephens Green Shopping Centre. Find high-end boutiques in the beautiful Powerscourt Shopping Centre and grab a quick refresher in their garden café.
Alternative Shopping Dublin
Often, visitors have the same brand names at home and come to Dublin for more unusual and independent shopping. Luckily, Dublin’s shopping scene caters to all tastes and pockets. Explore the side streets around the Stephens Green area for some unusual and unique shopping. Browse the stalls in Georges Arcade and pick up a souvenir or an outfit you won’t find on the high street.
The city is dotted with vintage and pre-loved stores with a concentration around the Temple Bar area. Hunt for a bargain in thrift shops along Camden and Georges Streets or enjoy boutiques selling exclusively Irish brands and designers. For antiques, head to the character-filled Liberties and ramble along Francis Street. Nearby, get a taste of the Dublin working-class market scene on Meath Street. There really is something for everyone in Dublin!
Enjoy an indulgent shopping trip to Dublin without the huge accommodation price tag. Staying slightly outside the city means you have more space, better facilities and more money to spend on something special to take home and remember your trip. Our team are happy to recommend a shopping district to suit you and tell you the best way to get there. The best available rates for our Dublin Hotel are available exclusively when you book directly.
